Usage of the General Commission for Survey and Geospatioal Information (GASGI) Portal

This electronic portal of the General Commission for Survey and Geospatial Information (GASGI ), in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, (hereinafter referred to as the "the GASGI Portal " or "the Portal") is for private use by individual users. Accessing and using the Portal is subject to the terms and conditions stated herein and to the prevailing regulations in force in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, including but not limited to, such regulations as the Electronic Transaction System and the Cyber Crime Combat Law. Your access to the Portal would mean that you have unconditionally accepted the Terms and Conditions of Usage, no matter if you have entered as a registered user or not, and your acceptance will enter into effect on the first day you start using the Portal.

​Restrictions on Usage:

In using the GASGI Portal , you agree to refrain from the following:

• Providing or downloading files containing software, materials, data or other information that you have no property rights to nor do you hold license for.
• Using this Portal in any way for sending out commercial e-mails, spam mail, or any such abusive use of the GASGI Portal .
• Providing or downloading any files on this Portal containing viruses or corrupted data.
• Using the GASGI Portal  to publish, post, distribute or circulate materials or information aimed at such purposes as defamation or breaking the law, or otherwise use pornographic, filthy or morally unacceptable material, or any illegal material or information.
• Using the GASGI Portal  to participate in Anti-Sharia Law or illegal activities in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
• Putting commercial ads. on the GASGI Portal  to publicize products and services that put the GASGI in violation of any law or regulation in force.
• Use any means, program or procedure to counteract or attempt to counteract the appropriate operation of the GASGI Portal .
• Taking any steps or action that would add unreasonable or excessively sizable load to the GASGI Portal 's infrastructure. 

Incoming and Out-Going Linkage to the GASGI Portal

Using Links to the GASGI Portal:

Except as set forth below, you are not allowed to transfer, copy or establish any electronic links on the GASGI Portal, any of the contents thereof or display any such material in a frame.

You should submit a specific application and get it approved by the GASGI before you go on to establish electronic links to this Portal, display any of their contents in a frame or take part in similar or related activities.

The GASGI reserves the right to impose any conditions when it issues the approval for the establishment of an electronic link to this Portal or to any of its contents, or the display of this Portal or any of its contents in a frame.

The GASGI shall in no way be a participant or in any way associated, in any form of relationship, with any trade or service marks, logos, or codes or otherwise related to any other means used or displayed on the websites linked to this Portal or any of its contents.

The GASGI reserves full rights to stop and block any form of linkage to any website if it contains inappropriate, disgraceful, transgressive, filthy,  pornographic, indecent, unacceptable or illegal or if it contains names, material or information that run in contradiction or in violation of the law, or infringing to any intellectual property rights, privacy rights, or publicity rights.

The GASGI reserves the right to disable any form of unauthorized linkage and will not accept any responsibility for the contents of any website that can be accessed through this Portal or the website itself is capable of being used to gain access to this Portal. 

Linkage from the GASGI Portal:

Communication links to electronic portals and/or other websites are established for your convenience and the GASGI will neither be responsible for the contents nor the credibility of the portals and/or the websites linked to it. Nor shall the GASGI testify to the authenticity of their contents. Using the linkage to access such websites or portals can only be done at your own personal risk.

We will strive to replace severed, i.e. disabled, links with other websites, but we cannot guarantee that these links will work permanently.

Virus Protection:                               

We make every effort to check and test the contents of this Portal through all phases of production. We recommend that you always run an antivirus program on all the materials downloaded from the Internet. We cannot be held responsible for any loss, interruption or damage to your data or your computer that may come about during connection sessions to this Portal, or while using material taken from it.

Claim Waiver:

The GASGI Portal and Services, Information, Materials and Jobs available on or those accessible through the GASGI Portal are provided for your personal usage "as is" and "as available" without any kind of undertaking, commitment or warranty whatsoever.

GASGI is under no obligation to guarantee or assume responsibility for any disruptions, errors or omissions arising from the use of this portal, its contents or any website linked to it, with or without its knowledge.

Users may not claim property rights or rights to the confidentiality of any communications or information they send through this Portal. Moreover, the GASGI Portal is not required, nor should it be assumed to be required, to guarantee the offer of any rights, licenses or privileges to users against any usage or interactive usage conducted on the platform of this Portal.  

Liability Limits:

The e-services and the access of information on the different government departments or agencies made available by the GASGI Portal on the Internet are provided for the sole purpose of facilitating manual procedures. It is on this understanding that you are assumed to acknowledge that you are fully aware that Internet communications are subject to interference or interception by third parties, that the GASGI Portal will never change the information available from the official agencies of concern and that applications and administrative procedures should be submitted direct to the respective authority of concern.

Therefore, resorting to the use of this Portal is the sole responsibility of the user and the GASGI is in no way responsible for any loss or damage, of whatever nature, inflicted on a user as a result of using or visiting the Portal, acting in response to any statement, opinion or advertisement appearing on it, or consequent on any delay in the switch on, disrupted connection, problems with access to the Internet and malfunctioning of equipment or software. Nor shall the GASGI be responsible for any such loss or damage resulting from the behavior or thoughts of any person accessing its Portal.

Based on the above, you should hereby acknowledge and agree that your sole and exclusive remedy to any damage or loss you may suffer as a result of accessing or using this Portal is to abstain from or to discontinue such use or access.

Compensation:

Users are required to ensure that no action shall be taken against the GASGI or any of its affiliates and that the GASGI and any parties, employees or agents responsible for the administration, maintenance, updating or presenting GASGI Portal shall be compensated and kept immune from liability toward any and all obligations and responsibilities that may eventually come about in connection with any claim arising from any breach, that you may have committed, of the Terms and Conditions of Usage, or any applicable law in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia or the country of your residence.

Termination of Usage:

The GASGI may, on its own discretion, decide to terminate, restrict or suspend your right to access and use the Portal without notice and for any reason, including a violation of the Terms and Conditions of Usage or any other kind of conduct which we may deem unlawful or harmful to others. In case of termination, you will be denied any further access to this Portal.

Property Rights:

This Portal is supervised by the Department of Information Technology which is part of the organization of the General Commission for Survey (GASGI ) in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

The material contained in the Portal, including the graphic representations of information and software (contents), are protected by copyrights, trademarks, as well as other forms of property rights.

Except as otherwise indicated, you may not sell, license, lease, modify, copy, reproduce, reprint, download, advertise, transfer, distribute, publicly display, edit or create any works derived from any material or contents carried by this Portal, whether such doings are directed to the general public or aimed at some commercial purposes, without the prior written consent of the GASGI in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Any amendment to the contents of the Portal is strictly prohibited. The graphics and images on this portal are under copyright protection and may not be reproduced or exploited in any way whatsoever without the prior written consent of the GASGI ​in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. ​

Judicial Reference:

On sight of this, you must solemnly declare that you agree that any disputes arising in respect of your usage of this Portal shall be settled by referral to the judicial authorities in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
